Every once in a while I receive a message from an Etsy client wondering where they get their files after they purchase something from Mindyana Jones Designs.
One of the best parts about purchasing my digital downloadable products from Etsy is that you can start editing them within minutes! When I get excited about a project or new idea there’s nothing better than instant downloads to keep that energy going on my project. No waiting for the mail with these bad boys!
I purchased my digital files on the mobile Etsy App
If you’ve purchased your digital files through the Etsy App you’ll want to move to a desktop computer to download your files. Currently, the mobile Etsy App doesn’t support downloads.
To access your digital file(s), log into your Etsy account and go to YOU> Purchases and Reviews and then look for your recent order.
To the right of the order, click Download Files. This goes to the Downloads page for all the files attached to your order.
There are no limits for when or how many times you can download a file. When I update a product on Etsy, that update will up be available to you here. For example, sometimes I’ll update a product based on feedback.
I purchased my files on a laptop/desktop
If you have an Etsy account, after your purchase you’ll see a View your files link which goes to the Downloads page. Here, you can download all the files associated with your order.
Downloads are available once your payment is confirmed, confirmation might take a few minutes. If your payment is still processing, the Download Files button will be gray.
If for some reason you don’t see the confirmation page with the View your Files link go to YOU> Purchases and Reviews and then look for your recent order.
Etsy will also send you a download notification email separate from any transaction notification emails you receive.
I purchased a digital item, but I don’t have an Etsy account and checked out as a Guest
If you checked out as a guest, you’ll find a link to download your purchase in the receipt email that was auto-sent to you after purchase.
If you can’t find the notification email, first, check your spam or junk inbox. If you use Gmail, also check your Social and Promotions tabs. If it’s not there, add transaction@etsy.com to your address book or safe list.
IF you still don’t see it, please send me a message through Etsy with your email address and I’d be happy to email it to you.
I’m having trouble downloading or using my files.
If nothing happens when you click the download links, it’s possible that there’s an issue with your web browser. Please disable any non-standard add-ons or toolbars that you’ve installed and try again.
If your computer states that the file has been corrupted, delete the file and try downloading it again.
If your computer is unable to open the file, it’s possible that you’re missing the software program required to open the file type. For the majority of my digital files, they are either PDF’s, JPEG’s or PPTX files. The PPTX Files can only be opened in Microsoft PowerPoint AND Google Slides. I highly recommend using Google Slides if you don’t have a preference. It’s always the most up to date program available to you and is easy to use and access. If you need help uploading your PPTX files to Google Slides, please see my other tutorial here: How to upload your PPTX File to Google Slides – MINDYANA JONES DESIGNS
If you continue to have trouble, please contact Etsy Support or you’re welcome to message me through Etsy Messenger and I can try to help.
